Certifications & quality

SIF — Brazil's Federal Inspection Service

All Brazilian meat we trade comes from plants registered with the Serviço de Inspeção Federal (SIF) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA). Federal veterinarians are present in every SIF plant, and each export container is covered by an official veterinary health certificate (CSI).

GACC — approval for China

Mainland China only accepts meat from overseas establishments registered with the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC). For Chinese buyers we only offer plants that are listed for the specific product, and the registration number appears on the carton labels.

Halal

Halal chicken and beef are slaughtered under the supervision of Brazilian Halal certification bodies recognised by importing countries in the GCC and South-East Asia. A Halal certificate accompanies each container.

HACCP and food safety

Plants operate HACCP-based food-safety systems, and many also hold BRCGS, IFS or FSSC 22000 certificates. Copies of current certificates are shared with verified buyers.

Cold chain

• Frozen meat is stored and shipped at −18 °C or colder
• Avocados are shipped at 5–7 °C, 85–95 % relative humidity, with controlled atmosphere on long routes
• Reefer temperature is monitored and data-logger records can be provided on request

Independent inspection

Buyers may appoint SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek or another inspection company to check product, weights, labels and temperature at loading.
