Frequently asked questions

Are you the producer or a trader?
MARYTHUR LTD is a UK-registered international trading company. We hold non-exclusive supply agreements and authorisations with SIF-registered Brazilian meat plants and reserve annual export quotas. For fresh Hass avocados we work with our Mexican export partner. Allocation letters and supply agreements are available to verified buyers.
Are you an official distributor of BRF, JBS, Aurora or Coopavel?
No. Our supply network includes plants of producers such as BRF S.A., JBS, Aurora and Coopavel, but MARYTHUR LTD is an independent trader and is not an official or exclusive distributor of any producer, nor endorsed by them.
How do I start an order?
Send a Letter of Intent on your company letterhead — signed, stamped and recently dated — stating product, quantity and destination. We can send a sample LOI. Full SIF, GACC and Halal certificates are shared with verified buyers once the LOI is received.
What is your minimum order?
One 40ft high-cube reefer container per product line (about 25–27 tonnes of frozen meat, or about 20 tonnes of avocados). Mixed containers of cuts from the same plant may be possible.
Which Incoterms do you quote?
FOB, CFR, CIF, DAP and DDP. Most buyers choose CFR or CIF to their destination port.
What payment terms do you accept?
A 30–50% T/T deposit after we send the carrier's booking confirmation and the proforma invoice, and the 50–70% balance within 15 business days after the containers arrive at your port. You can verify the booking with the shipping line before paying the deposit. All payments go only to MARYTHUR LTD's account at HSBC UK Bank plc — never to a personal account or a third party.
How can I check that you are a genuine company?
Search for company number 16675563 on the UK Companies House website, which shows our name, registered office, incorporation date and director. Our emails come only from @marythurfoods.com. Call us on +44 1234 560888 to confirm any instruction you receive.
Do you supply Halal-certified products?
Yes. Halal chicken and beef come from plants whose slaughter is certified by Brazilian Halal bodies recognised in the GCC and South-East Asia. A Halal certificate is issued for each container.
Can you ship to mainland China?
Yes, from plants registered with GACC. Chicken paws, mid-joint wings, pork offal and beef are our main items for China.
Which documents do I receive?
Bills of lading marked Freight Prepaid, packing list, commercial invoice, SGS certificate of quality and quantity, health certificate, certificate of origin, 110% marine insurance certificate and batch list — plus the Halal certificate when applicable and the phytosanitary certificate for avocados.
How long does shipping take?
From Brazil: about 35–45 days to China, 25–35 days to the Gulf, 15–30 days to West Africa and 18–25 days to Northern Europe. From Mexico: 14–18 days to Europe and 18–25 days to Japan and Korea.
Can I get samples?
Commercial samples of frozen meat are rarely possible because of veterinary rules. We can share plant photos, specification sheets, previous inspection reports and arrange third-party inspection (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek) at loading.
Do you offer private labels?
Yes, subject to plant approval and volume. Label artwork must comply with the destination country's rules.
Do you send a price list?
Meat and avocado prices move weekly. We quote each enquiry individually based on product, volume, destination and Incoterm, valid for a stated period.
Do you ask for upfront fees or charge for documents?
No. We never ask for fees to issue a quotation, a soft corporate offer or a contract. Be cautious of anyone who does so in our name.
Ready to receive a firm offer?
Tell us the product, destination port, volume and Incoterm. Our trading desk replies within one business day with a written quotation.
